ABOUT THE FAIR
The 2016 Standard Bank Africa Cycle Fair returns this year to St Stithians College in Johannesburg, from Friday 21 October to Sunday 23 October. This year’s fair stages a number of events for cycling enthusiasts, and also features exhibitors who’ll be displaying the latest cycling and outdoor sports gear, accessories and kit.
One lucky visitor will win a bike – last year’s winner rode away on a model worth more than R75 000.
You can also bring along any old bike parts, accessories and cycling kit and look out for the ProQuest Donation Bins. These will be distributed to under-resourced clubs and schools to help develop South Africa’s future cycling talent.
Standard Bank and Artlogic, a creator and owner of consumer fairs, announced in 2014 that Standard Bank has acquired the sponsorship and naming rights for the Standard Bank Africa Cycle Fair going forward.
“We anticipate forming a long relationship with the both the school and the city. The venue offers a central location for distributors, retailers and the public, whilst still providing a great outdoor setting, just a stone throw’s away from Africa’s economic hub” says Mandla Sibeko, Director of the Fair’s owners, Artlogic.
